Getting started with Free US SMS

Looking for a simple way to read public SMS? Start with a number, or take a look at the latest messages to see what is arriving.

Find a number that works for you

The number directory shows available US numbers and their message counts. Choose “With messages” to narrow the list, or sort by recent activity. A message count shows previous activity; it does not guarantee that a particular service will accept the number.

Read new messages in one place

Open Latest messages to see incoming SMS across available numbers. Each message shows its receiving number, so you can go straight to the right inbox. Keep the page open for updates.

Copy, save, and come back

Use the copy button beside a number. If a message contains a single recognizable numeric code, you can copy that too. The star saves a shortcut in your browser, so it is easier to find the number again.

A quick heads-up

These inboxes are public. For private messages or accounts you want to keep, use your own number. Numbers may change or go offline, and saving a shortcut does not reserve one.
